I think this is excellent and will soon be a site people come to as an enormous resource for both students, and filmmaking (specifically cinematography, of course) in general. I'm excited about this and am especially thrilled to hear you're writing a book - it seems to me only a natural progression. Congrats on launching this and I'll be here to watch and participate!
